I reached my goal weight for seeing D in Denver. I wonder if I can manage the last 4.2 pounds in the next 11 days. That was my optimistic goal, while 225 was my realistic goal. I think I can, I think I can.
I joined 24 Hour Fitness yesterday, and my first workout is today. I don't want to push myself too hard. The last thing I want to do is embarrass myself by lasting only 5 mins on the elliptical. which is my cardio machine of choice. For the last couple of months, all I have been doing is walking and that is far different than using a machine. I don't want to minimize walking as an exercise, but it is not a full body workout, at least the way I did it, so this will be a challenge that I am up for. I hope.
I am also really looking forward to lifting weights. My upper body is nothing but flab. It is what happens when you spend 11 years in bed doing nothing except watch TV. My back muscles and core are virtually wasted away. having no tone at all. I look forward to rectifying that situation as quickly as possible (without doing any injury to myself).
So there is the new cliche, "new year, new you." We'll see.
