I'm back on track with my running for the last 3 weeks...I ran my first 5K on Sunday in 35 minutes. Last night I ran another 5K and beat my time by 2 minutes...I'm pretty proud of myself. I forgot how much I love running; I totally understand that "runner's high" now.
I've been watching calories and running and the scale hasn't budged!! I'm very frustrated although I could probably be more strict about calories on the weekends. I tend to 'loosen' up a bit because my boyfriend and I go out for dinner with friends often. I'll have to learn to just say no...or try much harder to only eat half of my meal and put the other half in a to-go container right away before I even start.

So a few months ago I had started the Couch to 5K program and was doing so well! The end goal is running for 28 minutes straight and I was up to 25 or 26 minutes. Then my boyfriend and I went to Mexico and I had been planning to continue running that whole week. I actually ran once and then I broke my toe the 3rd day in. Since then (end of November) I haven't run once and I'm really trying to find the motivation to get started again. I've already signed up for my first 5K race in March so I really need to get back into the swing of things soon!
On the other hand, although I haven't been exercising, I've been watching calories like mad and I've been doing pretty good. I've lost 7 pounds so far...
