I know I will get flack for this, but...
The wisdom of the dieting world states, "Starvation mode makes your body stop losing weight."
So, how come people in refugee camps get down to skin and bones? I am not saying it is a healthy thing to do, but, if you are on a very restricted diet, you may retain weight for a few days, but your body will eventually have to start burning what is stored. Either that or start pulling calories/energy out of thin air.
I think a low amount of calories can be dangerous, but this idea of starvation mode needs to stop. It takes a long time for people to reach starvation mode, and a very low body fat percentage. You don't just reach it from having too few calories.

You Know You Are Overweight When:
When you need help getting out of a chair
When your thighs rub together
When you sigh heavily when attempting to tie your shoes
when you just leave them untied

Forget "starvation mode" that is bunk. I am not sure what type of fast you are doing, but that sure is a small amount of calories!

How Do You Stay Motivated?
The diet is non negotiable. Because I promise you if you quit for long enough, youll look back and say, "where would I be if i would have kept it up"
As for the exercise, skip it. Your body will tell you when it needs exercise. As you eat better and fuel yourself in a more efficient way, your body will tell you it needs to burn energy. You ever see really active people that go nuts when they can't get a run in? Thats because their bodies crave exercise. If you are eating well, eventually your body will tell you to get up and move around.
