I'm able to sleep in my bed again with the help of a few strategically placed pillows. Physical Therapy has helped tremendously, and I continue to improve. Off to the theater this evening to see Fiddler on the Roof, which I haven't seen in years, looking forward to it.
I've been eating better and trying to get back to logging everything. Maintaining very well, but I really need to lose some more. Hope you're all doing well & working toward your goals, whatever they may be. 💛💜💚

Good morning my friends! Off to lunch with friends today at the restaurant that has my favorite watermelon avocado salad. I just have to order it for the table every time I dine there, can't resist. Hope you all (or in deep south talk, "y'all") have a great day! 💚💜💛

While I appreciate all of you and your care and concern, I do wonder if you think that you should have anymore concern about my abilities to function than I have about yours. Age, you know, is just a number. I know people twenty years younger than me who are actually much older, if you judge by their capability to function. Yes, severe arthritis in my right ankle means I must use a walker to get around. Yes, I have a housekeeper who comes in every other week, but I've been having a housekeeper for over 60 years, so that's nothing new. Yes, I'm definitely slower than I used to be, but, being retired, I rarely have to rush to do anything anyway, so that's no big deal. But, do I still have enough sense to stay hydrated in hot weather, drive carefully in a storm, turn the stove off when I'm finished cooking, shop for & prepare my own meals & clean up the kitchen when I'm done? Well, yes, actually, I do. So while I appreciate that you care about my wellbeing, I'm just a little put off by so much concern about my ability to cope; hope that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings, rest assured that I am still as capable of caring for myself as I was when I was forty, and, I'm betting, as well as most of you are capable of taking care of yourselves. And, when I no longer am, I will go to live where someone else will care for me. Hope you all understand that this is said with love but just a tad of indignation. 💚💚💛💛💜💜
