still finding it quite hard to equal out carbs and protein....think my diet probably has been too heavy with carbs for some time hence the insidious weight gain. i'm trying to cut back but finding it hard as i am an avid fruit grazer and really missing grabbing fruit to snack on.

had to make peanut butter sandwiches today because i was out hiking on the south west coast path all day. i was going to camp overnight so had a big rucksack with sleeping bag and tent...i made six sandwiches 2 for lunch 2 for supper in case i couldn't find any accommodation with food 2 for breakfast if i camped. in the end the weather turned really cold and rainy so i left the trail and returned home .at the railway station i was really really hungry so ate the reindeer of the sandwiches so not the best of days really.
the walking was great tho and in total it was 7 hours will be adding that as an exercise thats for sure.
another day tomorrow to plan my intake carefully. i think i will have lost this week again because of the exercise it makes a big difference and really boosts the metabolism its worth trying to do something every day even just 20-30 mins makes a big big difference and it does make you feel energised

really trying today not to snack in between meals and have done quite well although i was very hungry at coffee time so had a banana to fill me up and tide me over til chicken salad which i pre ordered by telephone so that i was committed to eating it rather that go to canteen and succumb to chippy type things!!!!!!!
finished work at six and did consider not having a cooked supper as was getting late to eat, but found two lovely lovely trout fillets in tesco's so had them simply cooked with lemon tarragon and thyme...so was still fairly lite supper and hopefully won't pick this evening now as feeling full and satisfied.
feeling quite positive and have day off tomorrow have organised a run with a friend for early evening so will be able to plan my food out tomorrow and eat small frequent as time not a problem. this week is flying by

and again i have eaten late in the evening i will defo finish eating by 6 tomorrow evening my new short term goal

work quite difficult today i was unable to stop for lunch until 13.15 by which time i could of ate my fingers! so any resolve to eat six small meals today as part of the challenge just evaporated as roast pork was put in front of me! i left stuffing and ate only one roast potato and turned down crumble and custard ....thats a compromise i suppose. its very difficult working in an environment when food is just grabbed because of the commitment to your patients thats why so many nurses are overweight i guess i don't think anyone ever takes a proper break to eat drink and relax for half an hour or even an hour.
tomorrow i will try to plan better a menu of six small meals.
