I made it through my first week on the Atkins diet, and once the sugar crash was over I perked right back up! I also lost 9 Lbs last week and had to check two or three times on the scale this morning to make sure it was right. It took me a few days to really get those carbs down below 20 but the last three days I have finally done it. On Sunday I made the best pumpkin cheesecake I had ever had. I skiped the crust. I made it very low carb. My entire family was just raving over it and it was so great that I actually got to eat a piece of it. I am glad I found this website, it has been of so much help for me. *smiles*

Wow OMG! I have made it almost a week on my diet. I am still trying to tweak it so that I can get down to the recommended carbs. I know I have still have a lot to learn about how much I should be eating and how much protein I should be taking in each day. I have been doing a lot of research and reading on it and today I have re-worked my diet menu to have better control of the amount of protein I am taking in. I feel so good about myself though, I know I am going to make it through the tough times *smiles*

I find today I am feeling much better than I did yesterday! More awake and alive :) I exercised last night and that felt good. I am still learning to navigate the website and am confused as to why my settings are not saving.... Would anyone have any idea's if I am missing something? I see that it says I can choose up to six boxes; I have chosen six including fiber and net carbs although I can't get those two to show which with Atkins seems to be very important to the diet. Besides that I am enjoying learning about all the different things on the website and meeting new people who have such great ideas.
So I just went in and tabulated my Carbs and I only had 22.2 Net Carbs for the day I am making progress at getting down to 20 a day

This is my first day, I am excited to be here. I am ready to see a new healthier me. I am soooo tired though I am on day three of phase 1 for Atkins and I am fully understanding about the carb crash now. I feel as if I have just come crashing down from a 29 year sugar high *smiles* although to be honest, I have not missed them as much as I thought I would.
