So last nights run went ok. I was trying to work on getting my speed up so I was running every other song at 5 and 6 mph respectively. I legs were a bit achy after 20 minutes so I opted to finish out on the elliptical. I iced my legs down after I was finished with my workout and that seems to have helped. My next run is supposed to be steady but longer so I am going to wait until tomorrow to give a 50 minute run a go. Today I will just do some work on the rowing machine and then some upper body lifting and core training. Hopefully that will leave my legs fresh for a longer run.
On the down side I was really peckish around 3:30 so I grabbed some chips out of the vending machine. They were at least the baked kind but still not good. Chalk up an extra 200 calories I need to burn tonight. I guess that means the dog gets to go on a walk after the gym and dinner.

Diet is going ok, working out is going better. I wish working out burned more so I could diet less. Ah well.

Thanks for the tip on restarting the tracking system. I have been on with the working out which has been great. I expected to go about 30 minute on the treadmill with a level 1 hill but I actually went for 42 and felt like I could have kept going but I decided to finish out on the elliptical to spare my shins and knees. The diet wasn't so good, but Fridays and Saturdays are always less controlled so I am not stressing over it. I just need to be a bit more prudent when I am not being too prudent.

Day #3.
On point. Ate well, hit the gym. I was planning on running for 40 minutes but my shins, knees and calves were having none of it. I recovery rate just isn't as fats as I would like so had to settle for 20 min and then finishing on the elliptical. Anyone have any good tips for speeding up leg recovery.
