Had a going-away party and house-breaking party AND a July 4th picnic the past week, a few luncheons with my company for various events.. I wouldn't say I've veered off-course, but I'm definitely riding in the shoulder on the diet highway.
I'm very happy with the results so far, and though exceptions have arisen I've been able to stave off gaining any of the lost weight back. The overeating and indulgence control taught at the core of the FS program are life lessons and applicable no matter what your meal is.
I'm not *entirely* sure that going on weight alone is enough. This morning I fit into a size 40 pant fairly comfortably. When I started this diet, I was a 44. I know the chart doesn't say it, but I wasn't a 40 a couple weeks ago.
I'm doing a second Phase 1 to give myself a little shock. Most of my meals are still Phase 1 compatible with a few modifications, like losing the whole egg and crumbled cheese out of my afternoon salad. Easy.

Been awhile!
Jut got back this past weekend from a glorious vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine. So you know the drill -- lobster galore,
lots
of local brews.. diet out the window. For 10 days of lobster and ale, the
3
pound damage wasn't bad at all. I was doing tons of hiking, rowing, climbing, etc. which probably helped offset the intake.
So, back to reality, and back to the dieting!

Well I'm starting to taper off to a comfortable decline. In another week or so I will actually need to buy new pants and smaller size work shirts. Typical guy I am, I've been pretty much wearing the same shirts and pants for the last 3 years. There's a reason for that too: I absolutely hate clothes shopping.
As of late it was because when you go to get regular pants, there's this unwritten rule that 42 and up pants sizes can only be found in the Big & Tall section (if the store even has one).. Once you get to B&T, the clothes selection drops to a fifth--at best--of what it is for "normal-size" people. That spells big trouble for picky people like myself. I might only have 3 pairs of pants and 15 or so shirts, but I love all of them and it took me forever to find them.
Hopefully soon I can get back to being with the normal-size crowd. Easier shopping makes for a much happier man.

I'm going back to Phase 1 for awhile. Phase 2 has been working out great -- I enjoy the added foods but have found that I've most been sticking to what I was eating in Phase 1 with just a couple added perks. My fiance has decided to try the diet as well - so I'm going to detox alongside her and follow it through the rest of the way up. She wants to lose around 15 pounds - good luck to her!
You know, I was thinking the other day -- had I known this diet was associated with the celebrity fit club or television, I'd probably have never given it a second look in selecting a diet to try. I'm one of those people that believes most "As seen on TV" things are utter crap right off the bat. I'm really grateful that this site exists and rated FS number one! :)
