Chilly, rainy morning; stayed in and cleaned, did laundry, ran up & down the stairs, etc. Cleared up around noon, went for a hike with the dogs shortly after 1:00. Walked through the fields & trails. Jogged a bit, climbed several steep inclines. Best of all, Hadara kept up, only had to coax her along a handful of times. Sure hope this wasn't just a fluke!

Went through a box of old clothes stored in the attic. Found lots of cool rock band & label t-shirts that I received along the way, some from the bars where I DJ'd, and some shirts & shorts from my late 20s/early 30s. When I was a much slimmer gal! My goal is to fit into at least one of these pairs of shorts. The good news? I was at least able to pull them all the way up. No way in hell I could button them!

Better find some safe crunches :)

I'm craving meat. Other than the tiny amounts of deli slices I put into salads I haven't had meat in a while. Will chicken suffice? Defrost some and see...also have a bad hankering for matzo ball soup. Maybe this is just time of the month stuff?

Why doesn't everyone clean up after their dog???

Hit 145 today! 10 more to the current goal...the toughest ones, I'm sure.

Weekend...time to loosen the reigns a bit. Gotta do it, otherwise none of this is realistic.

Okay, there's the cereal instead of oatmeal admission. Have to do more than that, even if it means gaining back point one or point two of a pound. I'm not always going to eat strictly healthy food, gotta learn how to incorporate some of the other stuff on my list of favorites & still maintain.

Can't believe I'm trying to talk myself INTO eating a few fattening things :)

Did the stair challenge first thing in the a.m....a good time to do it.

Walked 92 aerobic minutes, 10313 steps, 5.72 miles.

Cooked the Harvest Grain Blend that Janeen gave to me...really good stuff! I'll have to let her know that it's safe to eat :)

Tried 4 stores, couldn't find suitable replacement wrist weights. What's up with that? Liked the ones at Meijer except for that thumb thing going on...don't know if I could adjust to it. Like the styles on Amazon; may have to place an order for those and a cd or two (twist my arm).

Aunt Tilly came to visit today. How many more visits will she make? I'm already getting hot flashes, can't be too much longer. Weird. Haven't made the transition yet to being middle-aged. Not mentally, not physically, not in the clothes I wear or how I wear my hair...do I really have to? Naturally I don't want to look foolish, and I'm certainly not trying to look younger, don't make any effort to look younger (I will not dye my hair I don't care!)...but this is me and I can't fathom anything other than what I am, what FEELS normal to me.

I wish I could go back home, be around family & good pals, grow old with them. So stuck here. Damn.
