Man life is crazy. Rereading old entries here is so interesting. I've been tracking on a different platform over the past few years, but decided to try this one again. Moved to as new state, started a new job, started and ended a long relationship, had two of my best friends get married, fell into a few mental health slumps myself, and am now back to a solid place. Well, as solid as things can get I suppose.
My focus has been to just find things I enjoy and find the time to do them. Right now I've got a great personal trainer, and am going to check out another gym this week. My goal for the coming week is settle back into intuitive eating and stay active.

Last week of the semester for me. Well, including a final this coming Monday. And then done for the semester! Not going to be able to get to the gym as much this week, but will try to do mornings and use afternoons for studying.
Can't wait for all of that to be over, because my reward to myself will be a new bike! Think I'm going to get the Trek 520 w/ disc brakes, or the Surly long haul trucker. Also, met a guy who works at the bike shop I'm going to get it from, and he's getting me his employee discount, which will knock a couple hundred off the price! Super excited.
Trying out a higher protein diet this week to see if it will help curb some of my hunger issues, because being hungry for too long always leads to a binge for me. Shooting for 35-40 g per meal, so we shall see how it does!

This year has been flying by. Have been consistent with crossfit/personal training, and hoping to get more cycling in as the weather warms up. My ideal plan is to get 20-30 miles in in the morning before work, and then do my weight training stuff in the evenings. I've got a century ride the beginning of June that I want to be all prepped for.
Found out I'll be getting relocated to Arkansas for work in September, so I'm trying to plan out that whole process. Fortunately, the area I'm moving to is very bike-friendly, and I found a couple fantastic apartment complexes right on bike paths.
My best friend also just got engaged over the weekend, so I'll be working with her to plan everything. She wants to drop some weight before the wedding, so we are going to be each other's accountability partner even though we don't live in the same city. I always do better when I have someone to report to!

Eesh, didn't realize I haven't journaled for a month! Time flies. Have been recording food off and on, but have been staying pretty on-track. Getting back into cycling more to train for upcoming rides! Have also been keeping consistent with crossfit and weightlifting. School and work have been keeping me pretty busy, so not much time for anything else.
Goals for this week are to stick to my meal plan and cycle 50 miles

Haven't journaled in a few weeks, but still sticking on track. Have been looser with calorie counting, but still seeing good results. It's also helping me behave better when eating out. For some reason, when I give myself super strict rules, I end up rebelling. With looser rules, I make smarter choices. My brain is dumb, lol.
Having good progress at the gym as well. Accidentally forgot to count the bar yesterday, so ended up PR'ing my deadlift by 30 lbs! Shows how much of weight lifting is a mental game. Also starting a new training plan focused more on eccentric movements, which will be nice since I can do that better on my own without a need for a spotter.
In the saga of my neverending dating life, met another boy at a YP meeting. Have been on a few dates with him, but he's a pretty health-conscious guy. Not a cyclist, but he is buying a road bike this summer since he's always wanted to, so I will hopefully have someone to ride with!
