really surprised at this. i've been eating and drinking WAY too much lately compared to how many calories i've been spending. was expecting to have started gaining. hope it's not a fluke cause i'm losing muscle or something...we'll see what happens in the next week or so...

wow, i was really surprised at this weight (first time i've weighed myself in a month!) when i went to swim laps today! i've been in fairbanks for two weeks now and haven't had time to officially workout till today, although this past weekend i did a little bit of backpacking, and the weekend before i did a ton of hiking/mtn climbing. but haven't been able to do much in between, and was worried i was gonna gain some weight with all the junk food i ate on the 9day road trip out here! but i have been feeling as comfortable if not more so with myself since i've been out here, and have noticed my arms and shoulders being really toned and showing muscle more than flab lately, i think even more so than when i left nc. i think a big part of it is it's been really great getting out of dad's place and having my own space and my own life back and having room in the fridge and being able to cook healthy, well-balanced meals and eat lots of fruits and veggies at decent hours and when i'm actually hungry, etc,etc . i've enjoyed cooking and eating healthy soooo much since i've been here, every time i cook a meal or grab a snack, i take such pleasure in it being wholesome and good for me :D and starting today, i'm working back into a regular workout routine! so happy and so excited! maybe i can trim down that last little bit of flab i have and get to be lean and toned :)
but healthy eating starts at the store, and i have given in to some not-so-great decisions this week. went grocery shopping friday, and besides all the grapes and spinach ravioli and good-for-me stuff i bought, i also got a 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk and a pint of phish food!! need to stop giving in to such decisions! but i think i can handle what i already got responsibly :)
