I'm a caregiver, I think about all of them all the time. I think what can I do to make their life easier. It's a roller coaster of thoughts. I continuously check the internet for reasons/causes/homeopathic remedies whatever works. They have become a part of my life and I want only the best for them. If I can just make one difference, it's all worth it. I AM A CAREGIVER, and I give it my all.

Have been working part time as caregiver but have increased workload to 4-5 days a week as they want me back! Love them all and work really hard to clean up and cook for them but I need a break and am taking the next 3 days off. My aching back.... It's now a little "me" time.. lol Update: Got a call from a woman that desperately needs my help, so now it's only two days off. waaaah. I'm such a softy.

I'm 68 and taking care of old people. If that isn't an oxymororn I don't know what is! LOL I thank god every day that I can still move effortessly and with ease as most of the people I care for are 10+ years younger than me! I hope I can make a difference in both their and my life. It's always interesting to meet people and hear their life stories. Live, laugh alot and seek motivation from everyone.

Have you ever felt "oh to hell with it, what's the point?". Health, of course, is the real factor but being alone is quite another. It's like "who cares" scenerio and "why bother". I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way but some days are "ugggh" I'm having one of those.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts
Chicken wrapped in bacon and seasoned with a sweet and spicy rub. Don't let the ingredients intimidate you, this is an EASY recipe.
Ingredients
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tbsp corn starch
4 slices bacon
4 4 oz. boneless skinless chicken breast
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and onion powder together in a small bowl. Rub 1/2 of the spice mix over chicken breasts.
Wrap each breast with 2 to 4 slices of bacon, depending on size. Place in a baking dish and sprinkle remaining spice mix over top.
Bake in the preheated oven until bacon is crispy and chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 25 to 30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
Drain the drippings (yes, I included the bacon fat) in a pan, I whisked ckn bone broth and corn starch and added to a pan and cooked on medium heat for 1 minute until thickened. Chill and add gravy to chicken as desired. Serve topped with parsley.
Serving size: 2 ounces. 128 calories per serving.
