joined a gym a few days ago. had my first workout yesterday. kicked my butt but I still enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to my new journey :-)

Im really wanting to get back into the habit of coming to this site everyday.
Now That Im home all day and babysitting my niece, I have the time to try to focus on what it coming into my body.
I need to lose about 60lbs and I know its going to be hard.
I need to start slow.
Anyone have any pointers?
What can I eat?
What cant I eat?
I just started new medications recently.
One is for my thyroid, and so far I feel like I have gained weight since I started it. The dosage was just upped and I have to go back to the doctors soon for a follow-up.
I have also started an anxiety med, and an antidepressant (to help with my anxiety and my sleep).
Im so worried that these meds are going to make it even harder to lose the weight I want.
I do however feel more active which is always a good thing compared to how I felt before.
I need all the help I can get!!!
