Been hit and miss on here lately - 3 years out (7/13) from my sleeve surgery...the last year I've been having problems with my GERD, had an Endo in December, STILL have a Hiatal hernia that was supposedly repaired when I had the sleeve - didn't know they'd come back THAT fast - less than a year after being repaired??? - anyway, been on Omeperazole about 20 years and keeping it under control until last summer...so did the Endo, and 4 months ago had my dosage of omep doubled...no luck, so now I'm on Lansoprazole (Prevacid)...not much of a difference but I've only been on it about 2 weeks. I've heard that lots of folks that have the sleeve that had GERD wound up having a revision to Bypass because nothing else helped. Hoping I don't have to go that route, but if it's that, or putting up with the GERD, then I'll go bypass - the only way since i've been having the issues to keep it under control, is eat - not bad stuff, just too often, so my weight has gone the wrong way, about 20-25lbs...getting a temporary push with Phentermine...it's keeping me from wanting me to constantly eat, which is a good thing...I just hope the new meds help and this damn acid goes away (it doesn't make a difference what I eat or don't eat, the acid is there - even water). Fingers crossed -
