I'm a 30 something who has struggled with weight for most of my life. I had the great opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo for four months in 2009, and dropped from 198 to 186. I ended up gaining most of that back within a year of coming back to the US.
Shortly after that, I moved out on my own which allowed me better control over what was in my fridge and how I spent my free time. Still a work-in-progress, I find myself grateful everyday for the ability to make my own choices and for the support system I have in my life.
Since joining FS back in Oct 2011, I have found the best diet for me is to calorie count, and watch my portion sizes. That, coupled with regular exercise has boosted my mood and my overall health. Each day brings a new set of challenges and new inspirations around every corner.
