1 month and 3 days.....what I didn't realize! copied from my atkin's blog


Start weight 230 today 210 weigh in tommorrow

You know how I always am talking about hidden carbs-- today I broke the bank eating a little bit of peppers and onions. I have been logging my food in on fatsecret all this week and just my coffee is 10 1/2 carbs. When you keep track--- you can really see what is not worth eating. I cut back on the cheese this week too, those carbs just kept adding up and up. I am so glad my friends on this site told me about fatsecret It keeps me from lying to myself.

I survived again today, I went to a second party tonight and did not eat the 2 layer with mint, chocolate cake, my best friend had. She doesn't eat meat but made me hamburger patties with cheese and sauteed onions and peppers. The big weighin is tommorrow so wish me luck. I have been using my hand weights everday to help tighten up these arms. I joined the exercise twice a day challenge and so far have completed it this week....

today I had 2 egg whites and 2 slices of bacon with coffee with vanilla creamer (sugarfree), for lunch a large chicken breast cooked in creole spices, and for dinner 2 hamburger patties with cheese, onions, and peppers.

I did 3---20 minutes sessions on the eliptical and 2 15 minutes sessions with the hand weights. my pedometer reads 6,793 steps so far today. I hope you have a great week next week and keep up the good work!

1 month and 2 days........resisting temptation


Start weight 230 monday 210 20 pounds lost

Today was a real test, I knew I was going to a birthday party that was going to have my favorite cake so before I left I mixed 1tsp of almond extract ,3 tsps of heavy whipping cream ,and 2 splendas. I mixed this together with the mixer till it was pretty thick I had one big spoonful (maybe 4 carbs) It tasted enough like wedding cake icing to get me through the party. I did smell the cake....more than once....but I did not even lick my finger when I was feed it too the baby.

Later, my daugther got a 3 scoop chocolate cookie dough ice cream and asked me to hold it while she went skating, again success. Now two hours later I survived it and had a nice chicken breast for dinner. I am hoping for at least a two pounds weight loss by monday for my next weigh in. I hope you have a great sunday!

p.s. If anyone wrote me and I did not write back I accidently deleted two of my messages, sorry.

Today I had egg salad for breakfast, pulled pork with cilantro for lunch and that chicken breast for dinner.

for exercise I did 5 pound weight arm exercises 3 sets of 15, I did one hour on elipitcal but it was3--- 20 minutes sessions. steps walked today is 6319 so far.

1 month and 1 day..... What is my secret? This is a copy of my atkins blogs!


start weight 230 and at one month 20 lost and 29 inches. Averaged that is 5 pounds a week, I am so ok with that!!!

What is my secret? I am going to tell you a few things I have learned in the last month.

1. The first thing is don't cheat it can set you back a day or a week depending on how many carbs you cheated with.

2. Ketones strips can vary in color by how much water you drink, you may be very purple and that is because you are dying from dehydration. As long as you not tan you are a fat burning machine.

3. the more sleep you get the more weight you lose, the magic happens when we are sleeping so an extra hour might be an extra ounce for you. Get your Rest make the kids go to sleep at 7:30 , just kidding, we know that would be impossible!

4. the forums are a great place of recipes and advice. But, Be beware a lot of people on there like to argue.

5. Groups are a great place for support. My most active groups are Stop being lazy!, A New year A new you, A new year on Atkins-- which is mine. All three of this have challenges set up and that can make your dieting more fun!

6. My best secret is fatsecret--- ON that website it is much easier to log in your food , and they help you log in your exercise and tell you how many calories you burned a day which is great. I love knowing how much I ate and If I did enough exercise to burn it up. Fatsecret also has challenges that are set up so you can see everybodies progress, and they are alot of fun. I recommend you check it out!

7. Water replaces where the fat was in your cells your weight lost can jump around because of this, don't freak ,eventually the water will leave as the cells shrink and the scale will move again!

8. Some of us have a low carb tolerance and need to lower our carbs to almost zero.

9. Atkins works and the support here is fantastic!

today I had a crab omelet for breakfast, bacon for a snack, turkey and a little cheese for lunch, and for dinner pork chops covered in hollendaise sauce. Exercise today netflix workout video-- weights, and 30 minutes on the eliptical!
