I am totally undecided about diets. The low carb, high fat appeals to me but I am afraid of the amount of fats with this new heart stent. I crave crusty bread, so I am not eating it at all - one bite and I eat the whole loaf. Right now I am doing a mostly low carb, low fat diet, but need more variety. Diabetes and Kidney Disease limit my choices as does my new heart failure diagnosis. I eat mostly salads and protein. Eggs and onions and 1/2 banana for breakfast. Salad with some protein for lunch and some fruit. Big salad with salmon or chicken for supper. Boring. Without salt, food just does not taste that great.
