Push day
Very cold walk this morning and the temperature has been dropping all day. We have -14 with a -24 C Wind Chill. The 2 km walk home will feel like 20 tonight.
Good high rep work out today with moderate weights and lots of sets.
My trainer has suggested cutting out the red meat, including pork, and eating only chicken and fish. I'll have to finish the meat I bought for this week and make the change next week. With a fat loss goal I'm willing to give up the tasty meats for ones I have to spice up some to get the fat off my body. I'm going to try cutting my carbs down to about 20 g a day for the next six days with one meal at the end of the seventh for a refeed. I hope to see some serious muscle sparing fat burning this week. I'll have to eat extra portions of meat to make up the kcals I'm not getting from the carbs. I'm still eating below my BMR by about 500 kcals daily and my losses are stalled or leaning towards the buring of muscle and not fat. I think I need to increase and get back up to the force feeding diet that was working so well for me. My BMR is sitting at 2530 so going up towards 2800-3000 should be where I need to be while still doing 1000 kcal plus workouts daily. This is way harder than it should be to sort out. Fish no red meat, chicken no pork, no dairy no wheat extra fats no carbs carb up no fructose veggies only no fruits ... too much to deal with and with the cold I need to be adding extra to compensate for walking in the low temps arggggg!

Pull Day
Some heavy lifts; I'm going to have to start using my hooks again as my grip is limiting my ability to move the weights.
Weigh in day too, down a kilo from last time sitting at 23.2% BF. Progress has slowed down but I guess that is too be expected as I get closer to my desired fat content it is harder and harder to lose it. I am sitting at 29.8 kg of body fat today vs. 30.1 kg last time. I really hate to think that the hard gained muscle is going away faster than the fat but I'm down a kilo total and that means 0.3 kg of fat to 0.7 kg of muscle. I'll have to check on the water content reading from last time and fingers crossed I have lost water not lean mass.
Some tough dietary choices need to be made in the next few days to see if I can bump the progress along.
At my caloric burn rate of over 5000 per day and my intake at about half of that I should be shredding fast but something is off.

The walk to the office after took 20 instead of 15 minutes.
The food to fat loss balance is getting tough to mannage. I'm going to reasses on Friday when I weigh in if I want to add carbs to boost my energy during workouts or if I just want to lower everything to push the fat loss. Tough choices ahaead.

Workouts are getting tougher and easier all the time. I did a solid 1.5 hours today but felt like more. My trainer had to say, "OK you're done, no more." Feels like a good sign. Now I just need to burn off more fat along the way and I'll be really stoked.
