Hey All - I'm doing fine..been a bit stressed here at home, but nothing I won't get over. I just don't like it when people don't get along. (I'm talking about my grown kids...and they'll work it out - just makes Mama unhappy in the meanwhile).
Weather has been spectacular here (in MA) - and I'm on my way back out. But I haven't journaled in a bit...so I thought I would dash in!
From day to day it doesn't feel like much is happening...but then it never does...however, I am liking the fact that the largest size pants I own (which were TIGHT) ... NOW no longer are!!! That's measureable improvement - when you're daughter says "Mom, your pants are much too baggy...time for a new pair!"
YES!
I really didn't enjoy losing the weight before anywhere near as much as I am thrilled to be seeing it go this time!
I will be back - have some things I need to talk about in my journal...perhaps tonight.

WOOT! Down 3!!! YAHOO! Hard to believe it's been a week already. Time flies around here.
Getting back in my groove - food wise - but still haven't gotten the faithful every other day exercise component back in it's groove. I try to fit in my 'at home' stuff - and that seems to be all I get accomplished.
That's ok, it'll come.
Off to volunteer in my church office today. Loads of fun w/ the kids yesterday - planning a day w/ youngest son tomorrow of some Back to College Shopping! (my boys are not the most fun people to shop with! LOL!) But hopefully we will get it all in one fell swoop!
Have a wonderful day - and remember - your choices today will affect many 'tomorrow's' to come! Make them good ones!!!

Everyday is a NEW DAY - and I am grateful! Today is a special day, for me anyway. Today is my middle son's Birthday! (the one who is a fireman)
I am headed out early to do some walking, then grocery shopping, then back home w/ some chores here to do! Doesn't sound like much of a day for MOM, now does it?
Well, it's not my day... it's HIS! His brother and sister (and SIL) will all be over on Friday Night for a special b-day dinner. (B-day Son has plans w/ his girlfriend for tonight).
Every year, when given the opportunity - I always offer to make them their FAVORITES for their B-day Dinner. When I asked him what he'd like he told me... "Mom, I can see you are serious about eating low carb again... so how about some 'steak tips, cauliflower mash, and a caesar salad...hold the croutons!'
OMG - I love this young man! (So, that will be Friday's dinner!)
I am looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in!!! I KNOW - did I just say that??? Well, I peeked ahead - and I am certain a little progress is being made! WOOT! WOOT!

What a beautiful weekend here on the coast of New England! SO BEAUTIFUL!
I got to enjoy the sands of the beach, some fun times w/ the kids, a few laughs w/ some lady friends at church and a lazy afternoon on the back porch w/ hubby!
Did some walking... nothing extreme, just getting back into the swing.
Kept true to all areas food related. Kept up w/ my water.
Feeling good going into a new week.
Hope you are all well. Did you make it thru the weekend and stay on track!! Hope so, it makes facing the Monday Morning Scale that much easier :)

For all of you weekend warriors who take weekends off (regarding your weightloss goals, or eating plans) you might want to skip this journal!
My body doesn't know the difference between SAT or Thurs!!! One thing I have learned - is that it requires effort to eat low carb, and switch your body into BURNING STORED FAT for fuel!!! So, why on earth would I want to flip that switch into the 'off' position!
Moreover, it can take anywhere from 2-14 days... to switch it back!
That's like repeating the last two weeks - just to get back to where I am right this second!
NO WAY!!!! I have worked hard these last two weeks to get into FAT BURNING MODE and I sure as heck don't want to screw it up!
I wrote down from memory what I used to do when things were working (way back in the beginning of this low carb journey):
Weigh In Every Other Day at Home - Record Once a Week here on the Site
Use Keto Sticks to measure Ketosis
Track Food Daily
Exercise (moderate/every other day) (at home exercises/daily)
I am off to the gym early this morning... then off to Walmart to try to find some new Keto Sticks!
