Well, today is going to be rough. My diet will be consisting of clear liquids (G2, Chicken broths, water for example).
I have an acute attack of pancreatitis that began this morning. So now I have to stick with liquids to let it "rest" for a few days. If I can't get it under control, then it will likely mean a hospital stay.

If diabetes isn'the bad enough to manage and prevent high sugars, add in chronic pancreatitis. I have that flaring up at odd times whenever my pancreas is angry at what I recently ate. This causes rollercoaster effect on my glucose that is very difficult to control with my insulin. Not a good day at all. *sigh*

Yesterday's "menu" for lunch and snacks is food eaten at the MLB game I took my 17 year-old daughter to. While having a great time, it threw me off for meal wise. Dinner was Chinese food and very difficult to get solid nutritional information on as it is from a small mom and pop restaurant.
I can only estimate the data.
But, on the bright side, my team won. :)

My wife is an RN and works at a small hospital 30 miles from our home. Last night while at work she got a pizza delivered from Pizza Hut. This morning she brought home the leftovers. Now pizza is one of my top five favorite foods, but I don't eat it because of my diabetes. However, I really wanted a slice or two. I decided to see if there was a way to find out the nutritional information on a slice, so I Googled "Pizza Hut nutritional facts" figuring I would get a chart at most. I was very surprised to find that Pizza Hut has an online calculator for their nutritional information! I was pleased and was able to get the facts I needed to be able to determine the insulin I would need to take so I could have two slices (which was within my meal carb requirements).
I also got curious and checked, Dominos has an online calculator as well.
It was darn good tasting pizza too.
