Yesterday I made the decision to cut out sodas from my diet again. I had gotten back on them briefly (after being off them for several years) prior to my hernia surgery in January, and continued through yesterday, mainly to help get rid of excess gas. I chose to use diet soda to avoid carbs, and I decided that Tab would be the beverage of choice. My dad used to drink Tab, and I acquired the taste for it growing up. I even preferred it to Diet Coke, even though both were made by the same manufacturer. But since the Coca Cola Company decided to discontinue making Tab, now was a good time to remove them from my diet. As a drank a silent toast to my dad with the last Tab yesterday, I know I that removing sodas again is the right dietary choice.

I started back on logging my exercise and dietary regimen on here after taking a few months off dealing with hernia issues. I will still have to take it easy, but I'm going to work on being in the best physical shape that I can (with continuous improvement)!!

Since Friday, I've been recuperating from hernia surgery. So far, the pain has been minimal, but I have had restricted movement. I've made a lot of progress during the last few days, but still have a long way to go. Even smaller tasks such as sitting up or walking can go a long way toward recovery. I look forward to being back at 100% as soon as possible.
