I need to catch up on posting what I'm doing with the challenges:
Walking for the reluctant:
So far each day I've done the 30 minutes at least. 2 days I walked over 1 hour and 1 day 2 hours.
Even when I break it up, it seems to add up.
I bought myself a pedometer that is supposed to show the steps walked and calories burned. I will begin wearing it in the am Weds 05.06.
I have all my meds - all new to me so I will be doing organizing of how and when to take them and if there is something to avoid.

My plan is that by Weds to have all the RXs here at home and be doing the glucose tests as advised.
I also will collect the candy I bought after Easter and bag it up to give to someone else.
I will do either plate or portion control.
I have good cookbooks for low carb and paleo and lots of recipes for raw fruits and vegetables.
In the past if I did 4 vegetarian meals a week and had at least a 2 cup salad with 2 meals a day, I felt better and lost weight.
I have to set up a reminder and med taker alarm and a place to note it, so I do that right.
I will also add to my morning prayer to be kept abstinent when I have defined what that is for me.
I may go to OA if I can find it near me. What's closest is NA, but that would work too - 12 steps is 12 step program.

Lost 1 lb since last Tuesday.
According to the blood tests:
I am a diabetic: I was given an Accu-chek machine to check my glucose prior to meals and an RX for Metformin HCL.
I have elevated cholesterol: RX of Crestor
I have very low thyroid - RX for synthroid
I have very low Vit D - so RX for that too.
I'm also to take 81 dosage of Aspirin
I also have an RX for Trazodon
I have to really change my diet and movement.
I'm already off of dark sodas
I am now well supplied with fruits, vegetables and chicken - I have recipes ready to make.
I also made an appointment to see a dentist in my neighborhood late in June.
I haven't had medical care since my post op check up after the total hysterectomy in 2011.
So I have to plan my schedule and budget - new factors in my life.

Drank a Fruitein 16 oz and Fiberwise shake. I will need to add the info on Fiberwise.
Ready to get to the doctor's appointment.

I fell back to sleep about 5 am, took a taxi - but the Drs appointment is Tuesday.
The pharmacy is GenRX and delivers, so I may use that for Rxs. There also is a home health agency there
Saturday, the nurse from Humana told me she is getting meals on wheels set up for me and trying to find an aide to come to help me at home.
She also will check if the mammogram need to be paid for.
Walked many blocks to get where I only needed one bus to get home.
I got some funds to put into the checking and got more supplies for the rest of the pay period. I will have enough food to last until the SS comes in again. I also got more cat food so my furfriends are set.
My eyes got tired and I put on a YouTube thing with healing sounds, but it advanced to other ones so I'm not sure how long I slept - until 8 pm at least, so I tried to sleep in bed, didn't work.
Played with the cats and did some computer stuff, then watched the Star Trek movie - free finally. I also saw that Avatar is free now - so I will watch that later this week.
2 am, so I will finish my late meal and take meds and water.
