does anyone out there watch that "i can make you thin" program? i saw it the other night...interesting approach. both my husband and i are trying the whole concept of s-l-o-w-i-n-g down when we eat. putting our fork down after each bite...chewing...actually TASTING our food. a point was made of actually watching people eat...in general we WOLF it down! no tasting involved really :/ then we eat too much b/c our tummies haven't even had a chance to send up the "i'm full" feeling...or it might have, but we were so busy stuffing ourselves that we didn't even notice. both my hubby and i have found that its 100% true. if you eat slower, you get full faster...and the idea is to stop eating at that point. you might get hungry a little later, but then do the same thing : eat, eat slowly, stop when full. i guess the idea is that our bodies will stop wanting as much all the time. worth a shot right?

thought i'd weigh in, since the oppurtunity presented itself and so far so good :) no real damage done during my week of debauchery ;) i shall keep it up tho til the rest of the week is completed.

hmmmm, not sure why this is hard for me...i am totally 'craving' hardcore sweets :/ oh well, i am still trying, so i guess we see when i weigh in ( a couple days from now ) if i'm ok or if i need to kick it up a notch. i did get some walking in this morning, so i'll pretend that makes up for the cookies i've eaten :/ oops

sooo....the wedding was a blast!!!! of course, the week i spent there involved a lot of eating and drinking, but its ok...i had so much fun and now that i'm home, i'm back doing phase one. i'll try it for one week, but am considering doing two this time. we'll see. its really more a maintenance thing anyhow...so when i weigh myself next tuesday, i'll decide if i should do it another week or not. hope all is well for everyone else!!!

well i normally weigh in the morning, but had to do it at 5 in the evening...so that itself might be the .9, but either way i'm still pleased :) i really haven't been 'faithful' so its a good number and i am more than ok with it. i will attempt to phase one tho for another week tho. its not about making the number go down. its more about getting my butt back on track, and fast food, alcohol and pastry is nowhere near that track :/ i can do it tho! my friends wedding is RIGHT around the corner...
