Yesterday I walked with my dad to 7-11 so he could get some beer... and that is a 2 mile walk! Perfect. We were walking about 3mph, so I think I got in some good exercise.
Today I go to sign the lease! We can't move in until Christmas day, so I'm excited for that to come :D I wrote the biggest check I've ever written today... $665 for the deposit. Rent is only $635 for me because I get the smaller room without a walk in closet and it's not near the bathroom (I have to go upstairs).
That's it! Gotta go. Bye :)

losing 10.5 lb a week
10 December 2008
Hey everyone!
So after the drastic water weight loss, I gained a bit back this week just from my body getting used to Atkins, I guess. I didn't want to record a weigh-in at 223 when I had one at 219 the day before... but now I finally buckled down. I'm at 220 right now, so I think I will get back to 219 and below in a day or so.
Me and my future roomies put in applications for an apartment that is in the heart of downtown... if we get the call for the lease, we'll be moving in NEXT MONDAY! Can you believe it? That's so crazy to me! I'm definitely ready to get out of my parent's house and be on my own.
I think my diet will be tempted more if I live with two girls, because inevitably they'll want to go out to eat and go out drinking. I want to go with them, so I'll just have to be good :) Plus one is an EXCELLENT cook and I want to eat her food... just not right now. I'll just make them stay away from my section of the fridge until I can start allowing other foods in (halfway done with week two of Induction but I usually do an extended Induction for another two weeks).
That's about it for today, girlies! (and guys!) I'm off to work now, bright and early, so I can take a longish lunch if needed to go sign a lease :)

I love Induction. It makes me lose so much weight that I feel very encouraged to keep going. 11 pounds gone from last Saturday. That is just insane, and I know it's because of the way Induction works, but still... very nice feeling to know that I'm losing what I consider to be gained weight. Thanksgiving weight is stuff I drop just to get back to where I was. Now I'm really losing!
Well, I don't want to make this one too long because I really should be getting to work, but I don't want to go to work... sooo... I will sit here for a bit more and write a bit! I like keeping this journal, I think it's helping me with stuff.
Work is kinda bleh lately, but I have a review coming up in January which hopefully means a raise! I could do with a raise :) And I'm currently looking for an apartment with two of my friends, so hopefully we find something soon. A raise would maybe change how much I could pay for an apartment, which currently is kind of on the low end of things.
That's about it for now! I feel very cute today in a white sweater over a peach colored shirt. Very summery, despite the freezing cold we've been having (I know, I know, I can't complain... I'm from California! but hey, 46 degrees is cold to me!)

losing 17.5 lb a week

Yay! So, whenever I get bored, I go into my calendar and count down how many days it should take for me to lose x amount of pounds, according to past atkins adventures (a ton of weight during the beginning, then a fair amount, then 1 pound). If I really stick to it and exercise regularly for the next 6 months, I could be around 160 pounds for my birthday. That would boggle my mind. 160 pounds. Crazy!
So I've decided to plan out the next six months. Usually if I have a to-do list/plan, I do it. I'm going to make it in Excel, then do a print screen of the files (so it's all organized pretty) and make it into a picture. Then I'm going to put that picture onto my desktop, so I see it every time I turn my computer on! When I complete the week, I will go back and cross off all the goals I did. If I didn't complete a goal, it will roll over to the next week (so if I forgot to do a day of exercise, then I will do an extra day the next week). Sounds snazzy. In fact, I'm going to go do that now, and then I'll upload the picture for y'all so you can see what I'm talking about.
Okay, here it is:
I didn't fill in all of the exercises because I don't know where I'll be physically after all that softball. It's bound to whip me into SOME sort of shape! :D (besides round) In fact, after playing softball for all that time I'm pretty sure I'll be sad to see it go.
I didn't include this week because I always have a raging Atkin's headache for the first few days, plus this week is almost over. Exercise + me + Atkin's headache = discouraged Jen who wants to quit Atkins. So I don't for the first week (well, I still do my regular stuff, like take stairs and park far away).
I think that's about it for today. Oh! I have a date next week :D I'll tell y'all how it goes.
