New Year...new journey...my wife's lung cancer is in remission, her diabetes is well under control...my prostate cancer has shrunk from the radiation, which really kicked my butt...so I was totally out of control food wise...I am going to try and get that under control...hope this works

back to fatsecret after a long time away...stopped coming when my wife wa diagnosed with Non small cell lung cancer last September...she was getting radiation every day, chemo every week and my weightloss journey suddenly seemed so unimportant... her last PET scan showed cancer free...she is halfway through a new immunotherapy...the radiation really took it's toil she has a lot of scar tissue in her lungs and needs oxygen, but she is getting stronger..she says she knows this cancer journey, like everything else in life is God's way of showing her about life and so she can help others..but we didn't think it would be me...6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with a very aggressive prostate cancer.... my PSA went from 7 to 17 in one year...left side of my prostate shows cancer growth and my pelvic lymph nodes are involved...giving me a Gleason score of 9 (2 to 10 scale) I have has my first hormone blocking shot, getting gold pellets implanted in my prostate next week for radiation..and need to try and get healthier..so back to weigh ins and having somewhere to be accountable...seems to be the only way I can maintain weight loss...and having someplace to put what's in my head down
