12.3g of Carbs is anything but high, especially in a meal replacement. If you are worried about carbs in an MRP, skip them completely and get yourself 100% Whey. It will average 3-5g of Carbs per serving. But again, 12.3g is more than welcome on a healthy diet. They are not the reason you cannot lose weight. It's all dependent on how many you actually consumed throughout the day, and with what else.
Despite popular belief, I'm looking at you Paleo people, Carbs do not make you fat.
(Please dont let my weight as of now determine my knowledge on the subject. I have a ND in Exercise Science through HFPA. I put on a massive amount of weight due to drinking, and stopping smoking. I have kicked my addictions, so it is back in the gym, and getting a hold on life)
