Hey everyone!! :)

My name is LoriAnne and I'm 23 years old. I'm happily married (4 years on December 16, 2011.) We have a dog and a cat (waiting patiently for children because it'll happen when God decides we're ready for that!) I work a full-time job (55 hours a week as a nanny to a 7 year old, 3 year old, and 9 month old) and go to school full time.

I decided to make this life changing decision and I know it's going to be hard but it needs to happen. I would really enjoy meeting new people on here and having a support system. It's easier to do when you have a close friend going through this same process!!


I have incentives for myself as I go along (I will add to this as I figure it out!):

320lbs - Get eyebrows waxed, hair trimmed, and feather put in.
300lbs - Mani and first ever pedi!! :)
280lbs - Go out with my husband and sit in a movie theater! (I only go to drive-ins because I'm scared of not fitting in the seat.)
260lbs - Small weekend get away with the hubby.
240lbs - Purchase two or three Vera Bradley purses (I have quite an addiction to this line!!)
220lbs - New princess cut engagement addition ring! :)

Can you lift the weight you need to loose or have lost?
This is so inspiring. I have to remember what I'm doing and know it's for the better. I have 120lbs to lose for my first goal and it scares me. I know it's going to be hard and I need to remember to stay focused... which is why I'm on this site. To find people who can help.

Big question.
I am on my way to losing weight. I'm 23 years old, 6' tall, and I weigh 340lbs. My question is...

It says I need to eat 3,000 calories but I don't think there is any way I can do it without making myself feel sick. I feel perfectly fine with what I've eaten today (see diet calender...) and I've eaten around 1700 calories. I drink only water. Is my body going to go into starvation mode? I eat 6 small meals a day and I stop when I'm full. I'm just confused and worried. :/ Thanks!
