One week sugar free - feeling great, and it has been surprisingly easy. I have even had lollies and choc biscuits in the house - and haven't even wanted to eat them.

On the third day without sugar now - and feeling surprisingly good - no headaches etc, and not cravings. I am being mindful to eat something whenever I feel a bit hungry though so that no cravings develop. Feeling great with lots of energy though, and less inclined to snack constantly.

One day without sugar - and feeling really good. Nice to wake up not feeling overful, tummy ache etc - must hold on to that good feeling as motivation. No headaches or withdrawal yet either.
Went for a run too.

A few very stressful months have seen me revert big-time to comfort eating and binging. No surprise then that I am back at what I consider to be the absolute maximum weight. TIME TO STOP SEEKING PLEASURE IN FOOD.
I have decided to try to give up sugar at the moment. If going cold turkey proves too hard I will start with giving up my nightly ice-cream for a week and then keep adding goals from there. I would like to see a giving up sugar challenge to join.
So far today no sugar. Watch this space.
