I started intermittent fasting and increasing red meat. Then almost 4 weeks ago my husband and i started the carnivore diet. We feel great. Yesterday my coworker told me my skin was glowing!

Maintaining weight through multiple Thanksgiving dinners is a win! Counting calories helps me so much with mindfulness, even if I do it inconsistently. I'm feeling empowered today and thankful for my body.

I just had a fistful of sour patch kids and sneakily ate them. Went back to finish the bag. Stopped myself and realized I was eating them to avoid eating a piece of my husband's birthday cake that's sitting in the fridge. Then thought, "I'm hungry and this isn't going to make me not-hungry". Made a small salad with chicken to hold me off until my husband's chicken alfredo pasta birthday dinner. I'm thinking this salad will also help me not over-eat at dinner time. I feel like a queen 👑 Small victory :)

Been resisting counting calories & resenting that I "have to" watch what I eat. Talked to my Dr a couple months ago about being discouraged with weight loss after pregnancy. She said sometimes people struggle with being pregnant and experiencing unrestricted eating for the first time ever, then having to go back to "restricted" eating. She encouraged me to be kind to myself, patient, and nutritionists are available to talk to. I think about that convo a lot. I left that appointment feeling so empowered and peaceful.
Been following the College Nutritionist (Dr Rachel Paul) on Instagram and she has some awesome tips and meal ideas. She talks about focusing on how foods and portions feel in your body. This simple concept has helped me so, so much the past couple days with not eating out of boredom or emotions.
These days seems like all roads lead back to mindfulness, being present, and tuned in with my mind, body, & spirit 💗
