The Aftermath:
Two days after that crossfit workout and the DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) hit me like a freight train! My lats, pectorals, shoulders, and inner thighs are significantly sore. I do not know what it is about it, but I love the feeling, sometimes crave it. I guess that is how the addiction to the gym and working starts, when you learn to appreciate the aftermath of it all.
On a side note, let this be a lesson. The workout that caused the above soreness, took only 44 minutes long - you do not need to be in the gym for hours. It can happen in under an hour so long as the intensity is matched or exceeded. I am really looking forward to trying it again, and beating my time.

First ever attempt at a Crossfit workout! Holy geez I wanted to puke...on several occasions. =P
One of the trainers at my gym made up this workout and threw it at me to try...never done crossfit mind you, me being a big dummy said...."sure I'll give it a shot". This is what it was:
100 pull ups
800m (1/2 mile) run
50 Push Presses at 95 lbs (I changed it to 65 lbs because of body wt. difference)
100 double unders (double jump rope)
100 sumo deadlift high pull (i only did 50 because i left the workout in my car and thought it was 50)
it took me 43 minutes to do, with me accidentally coming short at the end. Probably would have been more like 50 minutes. He got it done in 26 minutes, freakish!
One day, i will try it again and try to get it done way quicker than what i did...argh.

Yikes. After today, it will be at least 4 days without working out. This is the most I have been absent without some intense activity. Just one of those weekends where I was not able to get it in although, this should help with my "weight gain" goal of gaining 10 lbs solid. Definitely more calories in than out! Also - I caved in during a late night movie night and went with the family for some sliders. White castle was yum, not to mention getting the last amount of Timbits from Tim Horton's, lol. I felt like a drunken college student all over again. Sometimes, it is good to have those unwinding moments.
Question of the Day: What is your go to cheat meal? What is your main vice?
Have a good day people!
