How to set a goal weight?
I went searching google for "ideal weight" and came back with the conclusion that for my gender, frame, age, and height, my ideal weight would be 115 lb. I guess that is going to be my new goal weight. If I reach that and I'm still not happy there is going to be a serious re-configuration of my workout routine.

How to set a goal weight?
My start weight was 132 and when I was there I thought 120 would be so great and I would look amazing. Well I'm at 121.8 now and I'm freaking out because in a mere 1.8 pounds I'll be at my goal weight but when I look at myself in the mirror I'm not thinking "Oh I just need to lost 1.8 more pounds and I'll look great." I'm 5'3" 23, F, and have been 120 pounds or more since middle school. (In college I got down to 119 for a brief period of time) I need help finding a new goal weight!

Can't handle Atkins. Needing advice.. Again.. lol
I tried a high protein diet hoping for some dramatic weight loss and had the same results you are describing. I felt bloated, weighed down lack of energy, and was not losing weight. I happened to come across the book Skinny Bitch at a friends house and gave it a read. Since I had been a vegetarian in college and lost weight, I decided to give it a second try. It has definitely worked for me. I do not follow the book to the "T" but it is a good guideline for people who the Atkins-type diets do not work. I still consume seafood though, I haven't been sold on reasons not to, although one should be aware of the levels of mercury in different types of fish and eat accordingly. I try to avoid dairy, using substitutes if available, or simply choosing a different option. Eat by the book as much as possible and find what works for you. I even converted my once hamburger loving boyfriend toward my lifestyle and he swears by it!
