I am a 42 year old man who was discharged from the US Navy for being overweight and out of shape. I am a volunteer firefighter now and I am even more overweight and out of shape. I am also a Scoutmaster for my son's Boy Scout troop and one point of the Boy Scout oath is to keep myself physcially strong and I am not living up to that. The Boy Scouts have weight restrictions to participate in high adventure activities and I greatly exceed them, I want to get within standards to not only be heathier and set the example but to enjoy working with the boys in all of their endevors. I quit smoking 5.5 years ago and said I would worry about the weight gain when I had my smoking under control, well I don't have a desire to smoke and it is time to worry about the weight.
