I just finished my 2 hour cooking frenzy... I'm tired, but it feels so good to know that all the healthy veggies & lean meats, and low fat low sodium soups I just bought are waiting to be eaten in a variety of ready to go yumminesses :)

I've gotten it down to science now. I go grocery shopping every two weeks. And on the night I shop, I prepare 4 large containers of different varieties of yummy stews, soups, and/ or pasta dishes (the brown rice spiral pasta), and salmon filet's with side veggies... with minimal effort and almost no clean up. I buy tons of fresh, organic veggies (carrots, squash, celery, onions, bell peppers, parsnips, brussel sprouts, asparagus, etc... as well as 2 cans of low sodium veggie soup (for my chicken veggie stew), 2 cans of low sodium vegetarian chilli (for my chicken chilli), and 1 jar of tomato basil pasta sauce & 1 can of diced tomatoes for my (pasta dish)... then, all I need is the pasta (I get the spirals), Q lb of ground white turkey meat, 2 chicken breasts, & 3 salmon filet's. When I get home I pull out my two tier steamer and put the salmon on top& the chicken below& steam for 13 mins. While that's going, I take out a big pot & brown up the ground turkey. I also take that time to start rough chopping & dicing all my veggies into chunky stew size pieces. When the meats are done, I lay them in plates off the the side, quick rinse my steamer & pot, and toss the veggies into the steamer. I try to keep them separated so I can choose which veggies to put into which dish later on. While the veggies are steaming I start boiling my pasta in the pot, rough chop the chicken into small pieces, open up all my cans & jar, and pull out my 4 large Tupperware containers. I drain the pasta & the veggies are usually done by now too. Now all I have to do ia assemble& store. Tonight I mage chicken veggie stew-- for that I tossed some onion, celery, parsnips, bell peppers, carrots, & squash into my pot, then I stirred in two cans of veggie soup, some pulled chicken, seasoned, & stored. In the same pot, I also made some chicken chilli & a yummy veggie-turkey pasta dish. Then I stored the salmon in a container with some steamed asparagus& whole baby carrots. Finally, I rinsed my pot, steamer, & paddle, put em in the dishwasher, wiped my counters& called it a night! ... a very successful night :)
