Well, it's been 9 months but I finally did it! I am so happy I could just cry. I have worked so hard in getting my "old body" back and this day has finally arrived. The hardest part I think was loosing the extra 5 pounds beyond my goal so I may live a little. I know I'll have to be careful at times but I also know what it takes if I have that extra piece of pizza or piece of birthday cake. Weight Watchers has given me a whole new outlook on life. And it's not a DIET!! And it never will be. It's a new way of life. I am back to the same exercise regimen as when I was in my 20's and 30's. Not too bad for a 48 year old woman. I feel so wonderful! LIFE IS WONDERFUL!!

I feel like I haven't written in my journal in nearly forever! It's time to catch up. Everything has been running rather smoothly since December. Although the holidays gave me a bit of a fright, I still managed to maintain my exact weight for January. Yippee for me!! Having one event to look forward to that follows another has seemed to be the "key" for me. There is always a holiday or special occasion down the road. It makes it so much easier to follow a sensible eating plan. I know what it takes at this point as I have been a "life timer" since November. If I choose to splurge, I suffer the consequences. That I know will be more time at the gym. Fortunately, it only takes a couple of days to get back on track. But I also am not going to drive myself totally "crazy" either. I have to live my life and be happy. Life is still SO GOOD!!!
