Wooohoooo! Down 4 this fasting period yes! yes! I have been making an extra effort to be in bed and asleep by 10 and my sleep score has gone from 75 to 90. I am feeling great this morning and I will break my fast at 10 am. I want to thank all you fine folks for the encouragement you gave me on the gym-bolt incident. I am going to try to recruit a buddy to go with me to sign up. Once I get past the doorway and see the welcoming face of a hungry salesperson, I will be fine. One of the joys of FS is the fact that we never have to feel alone in our struggles and I love you guys so much for being here when I am in need. I can only hope that I also provide support and inspiration for you as much as you do for me. Ya'll have a fast-tastic day!

Hey guys! I am looking for some support for overcoming my fear. I went to the new gym today, planning to join and get serious about strength training, this place has now been open for almost two weeks. I walked in the door and saw so many people working on the machines and even more sitting at the juice bar sipping on drinks. They all seemed so young, so fit and it seemed they all looked at me when I walked in. In my head I heard.."What in the world does that old fat chick think she is doing here? I was totally intimidated and overwhelmed and anxiety kicked in...music was loud, everyone was talking.....I think my head did a Linda Blair and spun around a few times...I saw NO familiar faces....and I turned around and left....skurried is more descriptive. My new watch showed my stress levels as very high. I don't know where it came from, or why it hit me in such a debilitating way. I had issues focusing to drive home. Anybody got any insight...tips...because I am at a total loss!!!

Good Morning! So today is my 59th birthday! I am not starting my fast today, I don't have any plans for birthday festivities but JIC hubby has something up his sleeve I'm just eating normally today, the fast will start after dinner tonight and continue till Friday morning. I'm not sure how I feel about turning 59, I feel younger right now than I did last June, I've lost 71 pounds since June that is certainly an accomplishment and good reason to feel younger!! I'm hoping that I hit the 100 lb loss mark by this coming June but I'm not holding my breath about it. All in all I'm looking forward to what the year of the dragon (my chinese birth year) has in store for me. According to the Chinese horoscope, being a Wood Dragon during a Wood Dragon year is going to be a bit of a challenge, I'm up for challenges more this year than last year so I think 2024 will be a good year for me! You guys have a great day!

Good Morning FS Warriors! 84 Hour fast complete! I am astounded that I had this loss after the whoosh last week! I did do a 20 minute high speed bike ride, usually I mosey along at 18 MPH, I took it up to 25....for me that is high speed, I was panting and puffing when I was done. Then I did my mobility workout, around 40 minutes, I'm feeling it today...in a good way. Other than my butt being sore from the seat...why can't our callouses stay put when we don't ride a bike for a while? I had said I was going to drop my water back to 90oz, but I kept it at about 110 and made sure I was getting my electrolytes in and I had my usual tummy grumbles day 1, way down on day 2 and gone completely by day 3. I still have not broken my fast....I'm simply not hungry, but I will do it by 10. I did do a couple of things recommended by my fasting app for a fast-friendly way to increase the thermogenic effects. One was adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to my coffee, so I did a half a teaspoon in each cup. The other was a cold shower first thing in the morning. OMG! I thought I was going to DIE!! But seriously...afterwards, I was highly alert and WANTING to MOVE to warm up. Hence the high speed bike ride and the workout. The big difference was, I wanted to do it...I did not have to make myself do it. Amazing! Don't do it if you have a weak heart...when that ice cold water slams into you....all the air goes out of your lungs and the first thing you want to do is jump out...LMAO...I made myself stay put, I have never washed myself so fast in my life!!!! Out in 5 minutes! It seems to have been effective though, after the workout I was hot and I remained that way most of the day. Pretty COOL experiment...pun intended! I got to go eat some food! You guys have a FAST-tastic day!

Wow, this is crazy for a refeed day! I was up and down all night....it was like my bladder had shrunk and I needed to go every hour. I guess I had a whoooosh! I stepped on the scale this morning just to see what all the jumping out of bed and running to the bathroom did for me...and there you have it! I was not really hungry, but I broke my fast with my usual protein fiber shake, I added a scoop of collagen to it for an additional 10g of protein. I had the sardines in mustard for lunch and I did not feel like cooking when I got home...so had a can of tuna and two boiled eggs and two slices of cheddar cheese, followed by another protein fiber shake. Since Christmas I have been drinking 128 oz of water daily, so combined with the coffee and shakes...well you could say that was plenty of fluids, but I have never had a drop like that on a re-feed day! I'll take it! I'm below my pre-Christmas weight....and I passed another 10's Woooohoooooo!!!!
