c25k week 5, day 1.
unfortunately, my towel hit the emergency tag on my treadmill, wiping out my distance. i was at about 1.6 at that point, so giving myself 2.1 for the entire 35 minutes.
and, i'd like to point out..the day i accidentally hit 8 mph instead of 6, and DID need the emergency tag, i yanked it, and the damned thing took almost a minute to stop. so if i actually needed it for an EMERGENCY, i'd probably be off the back of the treadmill. but this is the second time i've hit it with my towel barely and sent it flying. grr.
and while i'm ranting... i am getting REALLY sick of people on this site who use the forums simply to nitpick and start fights, instead of to help each other, converse with each other, etc. probably because i just experienced it, and had to severely limit my response to keep from escalating the issue. but really... in 15 months here, i've seen more childish crap than i did when i worked in a daycare for 6 months. (yes, i have worked EVERYWHERE at some point! =). ) and i am going to say this here, in my journal, because if you don't like it here, there's no damned reason for you to be reading my journal anyway. scummy bottom feeding lurkers who come out to throw a argumentative comment into each forum thread, which usually has nothing to do with the origional post of the thread, and serves only to upset someone they've never met, sitting on the other side of a computer screen god knows where, going through god knows what in their lives and probably not needing one more irritant for the day... are... well... scummy.
sadly, i do realize there's no cure for that disease. its an internet wide plague that will continue to eat away at the core of every really great forum out there. hence, the reason why i rant and then move on. kinda feel sad for the people who end up never getting an answer to their question, because people are too busy being assholes.
anyway, rant done for the night. cardio boxing is on the schedule. i shall make up a digital, highly pixilated, laggy, slow loading mental image to punch to work out this particular frustration. =)

treadmill (not c25k) day. total 2.72 miles in 45 minutes. three jogs.. one for an entire mile in 14:55 minutes. 3 more at .25 miles each. total, 1.75 miles jogging. feeling like a serious success right now!
bodybugg says, 515 calories burned during that time.
also, kinect adventures for 35 minutes. however, i have now beat the entire adventure mode of the game. and i far prefer my wii's gold's gym cardio boxing game... and if my arms weren't so sore after doing it, i might do it more than once every few days, too! =)
okay, now for a smoothie and a relaxing break! yay!

c25k w 4 day 3. 2.17 miles. thats +.05 on day 2. plus, i added in inclines during the walking part. (35 minutes... i hate the way the c25k ends on odd numbers like 31.5 minutes...)
also, 45 minutes of gold's gym on the wii. 255 calories, according to the bugg.
and assuming i eat my frozen yogurt and go to bed, successful food day too.

c25k w 4, day 2. 2.12 miles. +.07 on wednesday.
on another note... rather amused by the label on the chobani container. serving size - 1 container. servings per container - 2.
THIS is why i enter food in grams! =)

6 months later... bodybugg digital display arrived today. (uh, i ordered it last week, i got the bodybugg over 6 months ago. it didn't take 6 months to get delivered! =). ) finally decided to buy the display for 2 reason. 1) it was on sale exactly the same time i got my state tax return and 2) for the first few months, just having the bodybugg was enough motivation. but now, i rarely upload the data more than once a night, when i'm getting ready for bed..and it just doesn't do me much good to see at 11pm that i have 900 calories to go for the day. now, i can just look at the display whenever, and be like "huh, it's noon and i'm only at 1200 calories... better do something!"
interested to see how much extra motivation this actually gives me.
