Good morning, y'all! I was so sick yesterday...even feel queasy this morning. I roasted a chicken, in my Dutch Oven, and I could barely stand to slice up one of the breasts of the roasted chicken. I thought I was going to pass out.

I've been so unusually Thanksgiving Day dinner FULL, that I haven't wanted to eat. Last night, I listened to a couple of Dr. Annette Boz lectures on the science of this phenomena. Hormones! Specifically, GLP-1 and GIP hormones that are naturally turned on in the body as our glucose goes down and our ketones rise, by eating fatty meat and fasting. GLP-1 is Ozempic and GLP-1 and GIP is Monjoro, only naturally occurring and without Ozempic face. Autophagy is a particularly important part of this because it absorbs and removes all the waste protein, not your precious muscle mass. It was highly informative and interesting.
It's amazing how ignorant I am.
My glucose is 90 and my ketones are 5.2 this morning.
I can tell I'm still insulin resistant, but my glucose numbers are slowly getting lower, and my ketones are getting higher.

Morning, y'all! I hadn't planned on fasting yesterday, but I'm glad that I did. It was an accidental fast. I ate sardines Sunday evening for dinner (and shrimp). I was so full that I didn't have any hunger signals, but I did have a very FULL signal, as though I'd eaten a big Thanksgiving dinner. I think that I'm resetting to my natural hunger signals instead of what I've been doing by habit and expectations. When I look back to when I was very slender, I was a very light eater. I find that to be an interesting realization.
