MAGIC WORD: DEFICIT
There are so many ways to lose weight: fasting, OMAD, low carb, reverse dieting, elimination diets, restriction and portion control to name just a few.
Some are healthy methods for anyone to use. Some require certain determination to adhere to long-term. Others are not so beneficial or doable for most.
Some people will criticize others' methods or push their own as gospel if it works for them. Each one works a little differently; some better or worse in each individual.
Determining how many calories you actually need to lose weight (fat):
Each person's own body requires a certain amount of calories to function. For successful loss and management of body fat, this number must be
(1) determined as a BASELINE,
(2) CONSTANTLY UPDATED as the individual body's physiology changes, and
(3) should not be exceeded for long periods of time.
Consume less calories than the body expends.
This can be dangerous if taken to extremes and can leave damage in its wake if weight is lost too rapidly (excess skin, extreme weakness, loss of proper organ function, etc.), so don't go overboard or rush.
This app is an amazingly beneficial tool. It allows you to see how much you consume as well as what is utilized. Get the two sections together in harmony and you're on the right track for a better life!

If at first you don't succeed...
We have decades of practice under our belts, developing our habits - good and bad. To think that we are going to shift our willpower and change ourselves overnight without struggle is kinda foolish.
It took years to perfect our ways... it's gonna take a long time - and likely real struggle - to undo that perfection.
