I have been on a mission to lose weight and become healthy and fit for the last 7 months. I have lost 20Kg and am already feeling like an entirely new person. I'm hooked! Because I was unwell with depression for a long time, my body really suffered from the neglect and lack of activity. After receiving the correct (finally!) treatment I have, mostly, recovered. Being able to work out and do things I haven't been able to do in years is an amazing feeling. The workouts also help to ensure I get enough sleep and helps to keep the depression at bay. As I am doing weight training my goal isn't to lose weight, as such, but to reach a target fitness and low bmi. I threw my scale away as it was just demotivating me. I now use how my clothes fit as a more accurate way to measure my progress.
