I hit a plateau for the past couple of weeks or since I weighed myself last. The weight wasn't coming down even though I was working out the same amount of time and eating pretty much the same amount of food and of course as I write this I realized that the weight couldn't go down because I wasn't doing anything different but I thought that I had managed to be on 2 lbs loss per week route with the exercises and the diet. So I decided to fast for 36 hours and surprisingly I wasn't hungry at all during that time. I even went to work and also went for a run during the fasting period. I only had water and coffee and tea without sugar of course. That is how I hit the 166 mark and now I guess I will continue with the diet and workout and do another fasting whenever I hit a plateau. I am also reducing the portion sizes of my meals. I am still eating vegetables (kale, arugula, onions, tomatoes etc) I have incorporated a grapefruit in the mornings before my workout and I feel good.
I am eating either tuna or chicken with my salads. Sometimes I add chickpeas or lentils to the salads. The dressing is a combination of olive oil, half a lemon, grated garlic, some spices, turmeric, dry oregano, black pepper, pink salt, Balsamic vinegar and a spoon of Djon mustard. I would say very nutritious. I went to the doctor last week and had my blood, urine and poop tested and all the results were great, the numbers were good, liver and kidney are working fine. My skin is also softer and I have noticed that I am healing faster than before. Like I used to get cuts in my hands because I work in construction and sometimes I would deal with debris and there is always some loose wire or nail anyway, now every time I get a scratch or a cut, it heals within a day or two. Whereas before it would take like a week. So things are good. I will continue posting my milestones.

I finally crossed into the 160's range. I have been in the 170's for far too long, but I guess, it's been good because I have been building muscle and the shrinking is happening without loose skin, everything is getting tight. Although I have to say, I have never been this slender and it feels kinda weird. I have scheduled a general check up with a doctor in a couple of weeks to see how my body is been handling the loss of fat and also I need to see if the diet and exercise regimen I have been following is helping me and not in some way hurting something I am not aware of.
All in all I think I am doing pretty good. I am still eating vegetables, some chicken, tuna, I have started incorporating some fruits to my diet, like blueberries, bananas and grapefruit, not everyday but at least three times a week. I have been also drinking flaxmilk with chia seeds and it has helped my digestion a lot. I am more regular now than every before. I am also drinking a lot of water. My HIIT which is running full speed uphill is getting better. I don't feel so out of breath anymore, I feel a little tired because I am running full speed but I also feel like I could run a little bit more if I push myself, but since I getting improvements I don't want to overdo it.

I have been moving very slow in achieving my weight goal. I am still exercising, running and eating vegetables. For a while it seemed like I hit a wall or a plateau. I had to re-examine what I was eating and or drinking and decided to stop drinking beer or wine for a week and see if that would help. It did help. I am going back to losing 2 lbs per week and I feel good. I still have energy to go running or lifting weights. I eat mostly when I get hungry which usually happens around 3 pm every afternoon. Late at night I may have a couple of tea or a glass of water and that keeps me through the night. I drink black coffee early in the morning and then I either go to work or exercise for one hour, another hour running and walking uphill, 30 minutes in the sun and around 3pm lunch.

I believe that I could reduce my meal portion and in fact I believe that my stomach is asking for it. Yesterday and today as well I felt satisfied with half my regular portion of vegetables and protein. I think my body is adapting to less calories or at least less amount of food.

In order to make it interesting, I am eating different vegetables, different proteins and I have integrated Chia seeds and blue berries into the mix. My digestion is working pretty good, my energy levels are pretty good as well and going to bed at 10 pm is not a problem any more. I do have to manage to sleep 8 hours straight but one step at a time I guess.

All in all, everything is going good. It can be improved and I am sure I will find a way to improve my workouts and nutrition but so far everything is moving, slowly but surely.
