Yesterday I ate a little much. I went over to a friends house to watch TrueBlood and he cooked dinner. It wasn't bad, chicken breast w sauteed veggies and plantain and guac. But I had a little too much plantain and we had wine. I also may have had some M&Ms :( All while not working out bc of Tropical Storm Debbie, it was pouring all day so I couldn't will myself to do anything all day. I napped all day pretty much. But new week this week. And it seems like every week I am getting better and I am keeping up with my workouts. 4x's last week. This week I'm pushing for 5.

So This week I am GOING to stay within my calorie limits. ALL WEEK! Although I do feel myself getting slimmer and I have lost some inches. I think I am gaining muscle which is why my weight isn't going down as fast as I want it to. But, I want to look lean and muscular, not just skinny so this is something I'm just going to have to deal with.

Also, I've been reading this book called Eat To Live. I've heard about it before but my work mom gave it to me so I can actually read it. I'm enjoying it. He makes some pretty valid arguements to pursue a plant based diet. I think I am going to incorporate a little of that into what I do. I don't think I can go completely vegetarian but I eat eat plenty of veggies as it is so why not just go a little further w it? I'm not going to try it until I read the whole thing but I did up my veggies when I went to the grocery store yesterday. Also to eat mainly plants and beans is cheaper than eating a lot of meat, which is def a bonus :)

Good things are coming! First, confession...I drank a little last night and those are empty calories. I watched the game at the bar. There's a little upside to it. I didn't eat anything while at the bar, but the snack monster did kick in on my way home. But instead of going to a fast food place, I went to the 24 hour Subway by my house and had a roast beef salad with a little pkg of pretzel m&ms (150 cal). So it could've been worse, but I could've done better.

Now on to the good part. The BF is finally coming back! He talked w me about it seriously yesterday and he wants to get back ASAP. YAY! That trumps everything. That's the best news I've had in a while. More good news. My BFF is down here for a job interview. Hopefully he gets it. I need him back down here. So he'll be around this weekend and I haven't seen him in MONTHS! And It's Friday AND I got paid. I just need to get thru work and then I can fully bask in my happiness :)

I went over by 58 calories yesterday :( I had these little desserts from Whole Foods. Soooo good! I did however go to the gym afterwards so that's good.

But today is a new day. Temptation bc I have a luncheon today for BPG (Black Professional Group) that I have just become Finance Chair for and there will be food. GOOD FOOD! More than likely Southern Comfort food. Last time we had an event, one of the best BBQ places in town catered. So wish me luck, FS buddies! I just had a snack so I can ward of the temptation. It will be rough, but I can do it! There will probably be chicken there maybe salad, I hope. Then I could just have that.

Also, I am nervous bc I will be speaking in front of the group for the first time today. I dressed up and I look good. I have all my notes and talking points. I think I'm ready but I always get a little nervous before I have to speak in front of a group. Well, I'm off. Time to get this show on the road :) Have a great day everybody!
