Keto is great. However, there are a couple Keto traps I may be falling into... enjoying Nuts and Cheese a little too much, enjoying heavy cream in my hot drinks... hmmm. Otherwise doing a great job with food choices. 2 things need to be controlled to lose weight/reboot basal metabolic rate - Insulin - Check! and Cortisol - Ugh this is a tough one. Major trade show next weekend and there truly is nothing I have not tried to stay calm and not freak out, feel like I need to be in the fetal position. This is my challenge.

As promised back at Work - looking at 5 straight months... 5 months where I hope to say goodbye to another 30-40lb. I will have the chance to be focused enough to alternate day fast, best proven way for yo-yo, middle-age dieters (women+++) to not only lose weight, but also heal insulin resistance. the fasting, past 24 hours will allow autophagy to begin, stem cells and growth hormone to be released in considerably more substantial doses, to the tune of 100x greater... Today however was an eating day. Mmmmm :)

Hi FS Peeps! At a fancy spa called Langdon Hall... yes, a mere week after 12 days in Cuba, I know, I know... Don't worry I'll be back at work Tuesday for 5 months straight, 7 days a week...
OK, tonight on the menu was Pork, belly, shoulder, loin. Carrot, plum mustard... fancy stuff. It was really yummy. I started with a green salad that had some leaves I've never seen before? They told me they grow them organically in their greenhouse. OK. Oh ya, there were also 4 glasses of Champagne and 2 glasses of red wine. I did make sure they were Dry ;)
Night.

Eating healthier is not just affecting me, but has had a trickle-down effect on my dear husband. Yes! we are home from Cuba, and today, 24 hours later, blasted with a winter ice storm. As hubby was out getting soaked with freezing rain, trying to shovel 10-tonne ice/snow from the driveway, I was inside preparing a delicious meal for him to enjoy. I had a salad and some of the sausage with dijon, but for him added eggs, whole grain toast, cheese, veggies, hummus and nuts. He was thrilled. :) It makes me feel good knowing we are nourishing ourselves instead of just filling up on crap. Here's to our health and one life!

Hi FS Friends,
Coming home tomorrow from a 12-day vacation. My quest for health is stronger than my need to eat sugar. I did not have bread, pasta, rolls, dessert, little chocolates in the room, etc... the list could go on and on. I drank Champagne and Red Wine, however very DRY choices, thus 1g Carb/Glass, not too shabby! I ate Well, and a lot of abundant healthy food and am very happy with my choices, but more so want to share that this WOE has given me the ability to be FREE of the cravings that have plagued me my entire life.
I wish all of us to be able to be on the Fast Lane to Health.
