well I haven't concentrated on eating since June and I have put on alot of weight. I ate everything I wanted particularly fried foods and deserts. So here I am as heavy as I have ever been but this is my first day back on concentrating on what I eat. Less calories, carbs and fried foods.

It's been a hard road for me on the DASH diet. The weight seems to come off slow not like KETO. Thank goodness for the app on my telephone giving me all the macros on what I eat. I just am struggling with the sodium amts. I never realized that I actually ate so much sodium and trying to get it down is very hard. Not just the usual by not salting food that one is easy. But rencing canned food as much as possible,staying away from pickeled foods and closely reading labels.

I have gained most of my weight back because of this shut in period (pandemic) and had blood work done last week that shows an increase in the Alc and for the first time in my life elevated cholesterol. So I have to diet again but this time I can not do keto because of the cholesterol and have to put away all the butter, bacon, sour cream, mayo, cheese, cream. and I have to say over the last few months I have been doing alot of cooking and baking and eating every bit of it and loving it. To think that only 4 months ago I put on at least 20 lbs. so now I have to find a diet that is both diabetic and lower cholesterol. that's what I am searching for now.
