Paralyzed-can't exercise
First of all... i am the same way. I eat all the time...or atleast i did. First encouragement... stay busy. I know you are in a wheelchair but I know you aren't limited. Find things to do... clean too much, work too much, lift weights... I know someone who was in a wheelchair and for him... he did exercise.. its not all about running or anything like that... you can lift weights i am guessing. That will build muscle which in return will burn fat. I too was on lexapro. I gained around 25 pounds from it.... I started running and also lifting weights and found out that when you lift weights and burn fat with muscle...you release good chemicals which help balance out your chemical imbalance which is what lexapro is also used for. This could potentially help you get off the lexapro. I am doing atkins. Its the best for me. I can eat lots of meat, cheese, and low carb breads. Sugar free jello and candies and diet soda's and crystal light. I feel this is more leanient that south beach and you will lose more. I hope this helps some... just giving advice from personal experiences. I'm here if you need anyone to speak to or any advice.... Good Luck to you!
