I have been doing general weight loss research on the internet. I have found a lot of suggestions.

I am trying to determine what is a good calorie intake for me as well as how many carbs I should have in the course of a day.

From what I have seen you should take your calorie count by figuring your weight X 100. Which means I would be able to intake 1360 calories during the day and lose a small amount of weight with just that as my baseline. My current average is just below 1200 per day, but it is not steady. I want to get myself on a more steady diet. Currently my average number itself is not bad, but according to my calendar, some days are way above and some days are way below. I am also going to start cooking at home more so that I can better control what I am eating vs just going with the healthiest cheap thing on the fast food menu.

I have no idea how to calculate how many carbs I should have yet. But I am still working on it and figuring this whole balance thing out.
