Now I have no excuse...finally bought new batteries for the bathroom scale. First weigh-in tonight, provided I find a level floor to get an accurate reading (our house is OLD and all sorts of wonky). It's still going to take some time to get used to reading each and every food label and creating new habits. Once I start seeing numbers drop or inches go, it will all be worth it.
Seeing as I'm going at this "all or nothing" style, I like to focus on the positives, like a new hobby or interest. Makes it a little more exciting and less of a chore. Basically getting smart about food and understanding my body's needs. Something I should have started years ago.
I was really surprised yesterday after eating a small steak dinner...I didn't feel hungry five minutes later nor did my stomach want to explode. Perhaps it's shrinking back to normal size and cooperating with my brain? No desire to binge on snacks either, although I did have my DH buy a pack of Chips Ahoy cookies to have on hand for those good days. That snack sent me
slightly
over my sugar limit for the day, but compared to what sweet & delicious foods I've passed up recently, I don't feel too bad about it ;)
Good luck everyone, enjoy your weekend! TGIF :D

So today is the day I start my new lifestyle. Like many others have said, this shouldn't be a diet since it's not a temporary fix anymore. Over the past few days I've done a lot of research, analysis and procrastinating. Time to ditch bad habits and replace them with healthier options. Aside from the ultimate weight loss goal, I want to feel comfortable. Despite having danced my a** off for 13 years and assistant-teaching classes for 3, I never seemed to lose any chub. Ah, to do a grande jete and NOT feel like I'm going to break through the floor on the way down lol. Well now it's a possibility!
