No weight this month. I've mentioned before that it takes my two teen sons and my wife to pick me up and weigh me on our Hoya lift. I didn't realize the speed required by the six digital scales I purchased for them to all be zeroed at the same time when they started picking me up. Well, both my 16- and 18-year-old sons have found work out of state this summer. It's good for them to stretch their wings on their own so I encouraged them. Both are working at extended family businesses, so I know they are safe. But weighing me is kind of a clumsy embarrassing ordeal... so I'll wait for their combined return for my next weight.

Been a bit since I posted. Storms in the Midwest. Lost power for nearly 24 hours. A neighbor's tree took out the lines behind his house. It only affected five homes, so we were low on the priority list. One of the joys of a 75yo neighborhood filled with giant oaks. Spent the night sitting up w/o oxygen watching TV on my phone. My beautiful wife got me a back-up power source the very next day. Not doing that again. So, that all said, it was a simple breakfast...

"Give ear to your father whose child you are, and do not keep honor from your mother when she is old. Get for yourself that which is true, and do not let it go for money; get wisdom and teaching and good sense. The father of the upright man will be glad, and he who has a wise child will have joy because of him." (Proverbs 23:22-24)
