Crumbl cookies yesterday for hubs 🎂 🥳 birthday. Back to business. This is not an acceptable number. Also bought hubs an in body scale for his birthday (hes been talking about one for a year, i use the commercial one at pt) and so now no excuses nor wondering is this muscle or fat. It’s sugar. lol. Surprisingly not as good as i remembered. Been years since i had one.

Bulging discs L2-5. Been that way for years always some state of soreness. That being said, was in shower bathing my little black dog Bandit and all of a sudden got the most excruciating lower back pain that ran like a band 6” high and across the entire width of my back. Apparently I started yelling which i didnt realize the pain was so excruciating. Sort of electrical wih a bunch of shifting or popping going on back there. I’ve been alternating ice and heat and advil since and am going to attempt my second walk in a bit. Trying not to freak out. I have osteopenia and my aunt has suffered from fractured vertebrae many times starting at my age herself. First thing i thought was OMG what if i cant walk or workout. Notified trainer may not be there Tuesday. Will see how weekend goes. Have to go get my daughters one year old super hyper cattle dog/aussie pup aroun 9 to spend the night as she flew to San Francisco for a concert and her doggy babysitters flight got canceled. First world problems right. Noting this in here in case i need to reference back the onset of this pain. Currently it feels super super sore and kind of like ive had stitches back there, which i have not.

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN/? AGAIN! Was thinking my big guy was looking a bit fluffy for last couple of weeks and took him down to Mud Bay to get weighed. Yup he has put on 5.6 pounds in past 6 weeks or so and little guy has put on 2 pounds. Now that may not sound like much but it is 10% of the lil guys TBW and 8% of big guys ideal weight. What happened? I got a bit lazy measuring their food and big guy kept getting injured so he has missed out on most of his runs tho they do walk 28 miles a week with me. This happens as easily to our furry family as it does to ourselves. Not a big deal when talking only 2-6 pounds? Think again. This can impact their cardio health as well as joints and life longevity. So here we go - i have committed to taking them on a 2nd 4 mile walk a day for next 30 days and back to measuring exactly not roughly their food. We have to love our little family as much as we love ourselves. Do i feel bad restricting their food even more? Sure do. Especially when they gobble it right down. Would i feel worse if they didnt have as long of a life span as they should? Of course. Think about that. We have to treat ourselves the same way so we dont eat our way into an earlier grave than necessary and leave family behind to mourn us wishing we had got our health under control sooner. I have to remember that when i keep longing for a hot fudge sundae. This was Sundays lesson. Over and out for now.

TEN YEARS!!!!!! That is what hip surgeon told me Monday when i went in for my overdue checkup on THR and inspection of left hip. Arthritis has not progressed in either side and while in 2022 he said within 2 years i would have to do second hip now he thinks ten years, barring pain or accident of course. That, my friends, is the power of getting 90 pounds of excess weight off the hip(s) and daily walking in conjunction with strength training. He said his folks that are slim always do better. Me? Slim? Loved that! Another reason to continue healthy WOL, not WOE but WOL (way of life). What a gift. I told my trainer today that i dont like her but i sure do love her😂🥰. Freedom.
