Sixty-nine days into the new year, and two more inches have vanished from my waist. If the gravitational pull of the moon is just right, I can fit into a size 32-inch pants. My weight is still hovering around 230 pounds, so there are no changes there. These are my stats going into Ramadan.
I plan on continuing my pre-sunrise weightlifting, assuming I can maintain my energy levels for the next 30 days.
Ramadan Mubarak for those who celebrate this blessed month!

How many people grow their own food? I have been maintaining a garden for a few years and enjoy the fruits of my labor. There is usually something growing year-round, and I have enough to share with family and friends. I'm currently in the process of planning my spring and summer crops, so I had to remove the last of the winter greens.

Four months after my knee operation and lots of physical therapy, I'm starting to work on my lower extremities again. Don't worry, I'm taking it slowly (6 sets/5 reps/280 pounds). I will wait a few more weeks before I start doing squats.
Pretty good, considering I blew out my knee stepping over a cat.

There are many things in life I don't understand, which is why I lean on the advice of experts like my endocrinologist.
I thought my weight had stabilized since there haven't been many fluctuations in the past few months. I have added an extra 1000 calories per day to my eating routine and ended up dropping another 4 pounds over the past 10 days. The extra calories come from consuming pistachios. That's the only thing that has changed. I have been lifting heavier weights but I haven't increased my reps. I haven't even started spring cardio yet.
I will take any gains, or in this case losses, at this point.

If it weren't for my bowed leg and curved spine, I would most likely stand at 6 feet 5 inches instead of 6 feet 1 inch. Oh well, I'm the lucky recipient of bad genetics.
My weight has stabilized (between 235-240 pounds) for the time being, and my waist is still shrinking. I'm beginning to use the newly repaired knee and should be in shape for the spring walking season.
