Another school year is here. My granddaughter started high school. She's all stressed about getting lost and being tardy as there's 5 floors of classrooms. She did the same when she started middle school and she was fine. She's taking chemistry and physics. Not something I would do. Always has to be some drama, thanks to her mother. My granddaughter needed sneakers for weight training. We went shopping and she picked out a pair. She also got new Birkenstocks. My son bought her school supplies including a graphing calculator. Her mom calls me yelling that I need to buy her Nike shoes for weight training. I am so sick of listening to that woman. I won't even go into her ranting about my son expecting our granddaughter learning to drive a manual transmission.

My sister's granddaughter started college. Her granddaughter was offered full ride scholarships to several universities. My alma mater was one, but she had her heart set on a private college in the Northwest. Her dad is worried about her being in the big city and that she won't be able to come home except for Christmas.

Now the question is what to do with all these Serrano peppers.

I finished my 5 weeks of cancer treatment and I am so glad. It doesn't sound difficult to go into town every day for radiation, but by the last two days, I did not want to do it. I was exhausted and my mouth is very sore. Follow up is in 8 weeks.

I had my checkup and labs showed a few abnormalities. My vitamin D is almost non existent and I'm a bit anemic. The results that bother me are my liver profiles. I had liver profiles every month for 5 years after my previous cancer treatment. I have repeat labs at the end of June.

Taxes are due on Friday. Those on the cabin doubled and those for the house almost doubled. But, the cost to license my new SUV wasn't as much as I thought they would be.

We actually had 2 beautiful days for Memorial Day. We went to several veterans events and put flowers on family members grave sites. I was pretty tired so we went out to eat. I ate only a quarter of my hamburger and brought the rest home.

Look where a silly robin decided to build her nest! Right in the wreath by the garage door. We have a storm coming in with high winds, rain and snow. I hope nothing happens to her and her eggs.
